What:

NIO Cocktails is a start-up that was born from the idea to change consumer behaviour of cocktails amongst the public. Their ambitious mission is to make the perfect cocktail for every occasion and every place.
After years of experience in the sales realm of multinational corporations, with a particular focus on the retail word, Alessandro Palmarin decided to develop his business idea in creating a product aimed at satisfying this mission.
From this ambition, NIO Cocktails was born. The perfect drink in an ironic and innovative packaging, that permits consumption in every place. No experience necessary. All you need is a glass full of ice.
The product is for both the consumer and the professional market: both for the individual and hotel, restaurants, catering, wedding, communication agencies and event organizations.
NIO really represents an innovative and creative solution for their business.
Alessandro Palmarin is taking care of the coordination and development of the national and international market.

Biography

Alessandro Palmarin studied Economics and Business Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
He has an experience of 10 years in retail and corporate direction.
He started his career in 2008 at Calzedonia, then in 2012 moved to Levi’s and Vodafone.
In 2015 he covered the role of Sales director Monobrand Italy for Swaroski.
In July 2017 he decided to leave his comfort zone and the corporate world to follow his startup “NIO Cocktails “ created some months before with 3 associates.

Keynote speaker: Dott.ssa Anna Maria Rugarli
Anna Maria Rugarli is Director Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at VF in the EMEA region. She is responsible for developing and implementing the Sustainability and CSR corporate strategy in the Region. She joined VF in December 2010 and holds a strong track record of successfully creating Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility programs at Nike, a global leader in the field, where she worked for 11 years holding a variety of positions within the Sustainable Innovation team.In July 2015, Anna Maria has been appointed as President of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) whose mission is to support valuable conservation work by raising funds from within the European Outdoor sector and promoting care and respect for wild places.

Anna Maria currently lives in Lugano with her family. She also lived in South Africa, Belgium, China and the Netherlands. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.

Erik Nowak
Full Professor of Financial Management and Accounting at USI since 2003, Erik Nowak studied at the Universities of St Gallen and Bocconi in Milan and completed his PhD at the University of St Gallen in 1997 after a research period at the University of Chicago with a fellowship of the National Science Foundation. Subsequently, he was assistant professor of finance at Goethe University Frankfurt, where he received his venia legendi in 2002. Erik Nowak was visiting professor at the Universities of Hohenheim, COPPEAD Rio de Janeiro, CEIBS Shanghai, and Witten/Herdecke, a fellow of the Center for Financial Studies (CFS), an affiliate member of the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI), and adjunct professor at the Université de Luxembourg School of Finance (LSF). He has published in the top journals of fields as diverse as finance, entrepreneurship, and business history, among them the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Business Venturing, and Business History. He was the national coordinator for the European Research Network ‘Regional Comparative Advantage and Knowledge Based Entrepreneurship’. During his sabbatical academic year 2010-11 he was the Rock Center for Corporate Governance Visiting Scholar at Stanford University. Since 2016 he is the Director of the Master in Financial Technology and Computing (FinTeC).

Erik Larsen
During the period 1996 -1998 he was an EU Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Bologna. He obtained his PhD from the Institute of Economics, Copenhagen Business School and his MSc from the Technical University of Denmark. He has taught a range of different courses in management, strategy and decision sciences at undergraduate, graduate (MBA) and PhD level. He has also taught executive programs at leading universities and companies, in systems thinking, system dynamics, strategy and energy deregulation (in Europe, North and South America and Africa). He has consulted for companies and governments in strategy, deregulation of utilities, and modelling. He has published widely in the areas of computational organizational theory and strategy, energy deregulation, and nonlinear dynamics. He won the Credit Suisse teaching award at USI in 2010.

Leonardo is a high technology global company in the Aerospace, Defense and Security sector.

From July 4, 2013, Gianni De Gennaro is the Chairman and from May 16, 2017, Alessandro Profumo is the Managing Director.

Recently, Leonardo announced that one operator in the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi Aviation signed a contract for two helicopters. The order was announced during the Dubai Air Show during an official ceremony: Abu Dhabi aviation expands its fleet of AW139 offshore helicopters.

Our fleet, made up of fast helicopters and equipped with state-of-the-art security systems, has enabled us to bring our operational capabilities to the highest level in terms of service quality,” said Abu Dhabi Aviation President Nader Ahmed Al Hammadi. “The services offered by Abu Dhabi Aviation are determined by customer requirements.”
