Entries are now open for StartCup Ticino 2016, a competition for new and innovative business ideas or projects, designed or produced in the Canton Ticino by promoters seeking to create new start-up companies.
This year, the top 5 finalists will be rewarded, and the winner will receive a money prize of 50’000 Francs, a scholarship offered by USI EMBA and direct access to the Swiss Economic Award.

Awarding the best new business ideas in Ticino

An initiative of the START-UP promotion center

StartCup Ticino is a competition for new and innovative business ideas or projects, conceived or realized in the Canton Ticino by promoters seeking to create new start-up companies.

On December 1, 2016, the top five ranked projects will be awarded with rewards of 50’000, 30’000, 20’000 or 10’000 CHF and will be automatically admitted to the second phase of the selection for the Swiss Economic Award and to the 2° Venture Day Ticino.

The aim of this initiative, in collaboration with the Finance&Economy Department of the Canton Ticino, the BSI Bank and the institutional partners, is to create a stimulating entrepreneurial environment for small and medium sized startups in our Canton.
